Ezzing Platform (CRM)

A flexible CRM to manage the entire renewable energy sales cycle.

Challenge

When I joined the project, the CRM already existed, but it had limitations in terms of usability and scalability. Users needed a more flexible system to adapt their workflows, manage customers and teams in an agile manner, and also have visual tools that would allow them to better organise and monitor the entire process of selling and installing renewable energy systems. The main challenge was to iterate on a product already in production, balancing business needs with the actual user experience, and ensuring that the platform evolved into a modular, intuitive CRM that could be adapted to different types of customers.

Approach

To improve the CRM experience, I focused on reducing friction and providing immediate value to users. I incorporated a Kanban-style dashboard to organise clients and tasks visually, designed an onboarding process with interactive tutorials, optimised workflows with automated actions, and reinforced visual consistency through a design system and proprietary iconography. All of this was developed iteratively, validating with stakeholders and users to ensure smooth adoption in a product already in use.

Ezzing CRM is a SaaS solution aimed at companies in the renewable energy sector that need to manage their sales cycle from start to finish, with a special focus on photovoltaic installations. Through the platform, customers can customise workflows, manage leads and customers, generate offers, organise teams and roles within the company, and track installations, including the post-installation phase using the O&M monitoring module.


My job consisted of iterating and evolving an existing product, incorporating functional and visual improvements that would bring real value to users. I developed a Kanban board for the visual organisation of tasks and customers, designed an onboarding process with interactive tutorials to facilitate the adoption of the tool, and improved automation flows (emails, calls and assignment of responsibilities) to optimise team productivity.

A key aspect of my contribution was the creation of a comprehensive and documented design system, which not only ensured visual consistency and scalability of the product, but also enabled the automation and streamlining of processes alongside the development team. This system facilitated collaboration between design and technology, reduced implementation times, and became the foundation for the long-term growth of the CRM.

The project was approached from a user-centred perspective, with final testing with customers and continuous validation with stakeholders to ensure that each iteration responded to real needs without disrupting daily operations. Throughout the process, I was responsible for the product at every stage: research, ideation, wireframing, visual design, prototyping and validation, maintaining a global vision from start to finish.

This project allowed me to consolidate my role as a product designer in a real-world environment, leading the evolution of CRM and striking a balance between business objectives and a clear, efficient, and adaptable user experience.
