Zcoutverse
Connecting football scouts and clubs through AI-powered insights.
Challenge
The founder of Zcoutverse had an ambitious idea, create a platform that would connect football scouts with football clubs, transforming an activity that many did as a hobby (especially on networks such as "X"), into a more professional, recognised and profitable practice. The challenge was to design a specialised social network that maintained the spirit of community and conversation characteristic of existing networks, but also offered tools to facilitate the creation and marketing of technical reports on players. Another major challenge was to come up with a product that would be accessible to all types of users, from experienced scouts to amateurs who had never worked in professional digital environments. The aim was to offer an intuitive and attractive experience that would convey confidence and credibility to both scouts and buying clubs.

Impact in numbers
- 40 % increase in daily active users after launching the new interface and onboarding flow.
- 85 % of users reported that the updated workflows made their daily management more intuitive and efficient.
- 100 % interface consistency achieved through the implementation of the new design system and custom icon set.
- 4.6/5 average user satisfaction score in post-launch usability testing.
- 80 % onboarding adoption rate among new users within the first two weeks
The result was Zcoutverse, a social network with a purpose, to give visibility and professionalise the work of football scouts.
From a design perspective, the process focused on creating a clear and modular architecture that would facilitate the product’s evolution and scalability. The main flow, report creation, was designed with maximum simplicity in mind, guiding the user step by step through a wizard that requested only essential information (player name, position, brief observations, etc.). From there, the AI generated a professional report with a consistent structure, technical language and exportable format, ready to share or sell.
The visual design system was built on principles of readability, hierarchy, and familiarity, with a sober palette and functional typography that conveyed professional seriousness without losing its social feel. Interaction, likes, comments, sharing, reinforced the community dimension and encouraged participation.
In their user profiles, scouts could display their published reports, view their statistics, and receive ratings from other users or clubs, which helped them build a reputation based on the quality of their content. Clubs, for their part, could explore profiles, discover talent, and purchase reports directly, eliminating intermediaries and gaining access to quality information generated by the community.
During user testing, it was confirmed that the familiar format and AI support significantly reduced initial friction: users quickly understood how it worked and were motivated by the ease with which they could generate and share reports.
Overall, Zcoutverse managed to combine the best of both worlds: the social interaction of an open network and the professional rigour of an analysis tool. It was a space where scouts could grow, learn and connect with clubs in a direct, efficient and transparent way.
